For some, giving to a church can be a scary leap of faith. Questions like: “Where does my money go?” or “Can I trust these guys?” are legitimate questions. At FBC Durango, there are several safeguards we have put in place to ensure accountability and transparency in all of the church’s financial dealings. First, FBC’s accounting records are audited yearly. The audit report and yearly financial statements are available upon request, at any time. Second, FBC has a thorough “check and balance” in-house accountability system. In conjunction with our treasurer and office administrator, our Finance and Administration teamwork toward handling our finances with the highest level of integrity and proficiency. Third, the accounting records of FBC are open to anyone who would like to examine our books, and the FBC Finance and Administration team are available to answer questions anyone may have.
