Staff Gifts: Special note from the elders: Our church likes to show appreciation to our dedicated staff by providing them an extra year-end gift. If you would like to participate, make your check payable to First Baptist Church of Durango and put “Staff Gift” in the memo line. You can put your check in one of the offering boxes in the sanctuary, mail it to the church, or give online (go to firstbaptistdurango.org/give/ and select “Staff Gifts” in the Fund menu). As always, the elders sincerely thank you for your generosity and demonstrating your love for the staff in this tangible way. Feel free to send these anytime, but we would especially like to deliver their gifts in time for Christmas.
Financial Update: As of October 31, 2024, Giving: $515,000 Expenses: $562,000. November financials available next week
Parents Night Out: Parents Night Out is Saturday, December 14, 5:30–8:00 PM! Kids (nursery–5th grade) will enjoy dinner and fun while you enjoy a night out or wrap up your Christmas shopping!
December 30th Service: The service on December 30th will be a Family Service. Nursery and Preschool care will be available for children.
Church Office Closure: The church office will be closed from December 25th through January 2nd. If you have an emergency or a question about giving, please call the church and press the extension for either Jimmy Thoma or Alan Hensley. We will return your call promptly.
Membership Classes: The final membership class will take place on December 15th after the service. Please join us in the Fellowship Hall, located in the basement. Childcare and food will be provided.
Sunday Morning Small Group: The Sunday Morning Small Group will begin on January 12th at 9 a.m. in Room 3. Children’s Sunday School will be available during this time.
- Wednesday Prayer Gathering Time: Every Wednesday there is a prayer gathering for the church, the community, and individual families. This gathering meets in the conference room at 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday.
